A Seed

For deep within each of us is a seed. A tiny seed carefully
placed inside us before our eyes caught the first glimpse of the world. Many do
not know about that bit, planted in the fertile soil. Too few nurture that seed,
so it might grow to maturity and reach its full potential. There are those that
do their best to snuff out the seedling that sprouts in their hearts, not
wishing to be burdened by its care and development. Others cut off each new
leaf, fearing what might come from its growth.
But it is God that provides and plants that seed. It
is God that understands and knows us better than we know ourselves. That seed
is one of the special gifts God gives. It makes each of us unique. So, we
should seek out that seed, feed it, and at times prune the growth to strengthen
it. For within in that little bit, is our purpose, a purpose for which we have
been born to fill. To snuff out that growth, is to deny why we are here in the
first place. No, embrace the seed and the growth as part of who you are. Grow
with that seedling, and in doing so, achieve more than you might imagine, for
you are being prepared to accomplish great things.
For deep within each of us is a seed…planted by God.
