But A Man

But a Man

By John W. Vander Velden

Where there is life, where there is death, perhaps a man can be found.

A man of honor, certain he is unworthy.
A man of dignity but clothed in humility.
A man of courage yet possessing fear.

For in the end, he is but a man.
